Why am I locked out in Yahoo mail?

I am locked out of my yahoo mail which I have had for years pls help Do you have a 1-800phone number ????

  • I have had this e-mail account for many years and one day a few weeks ago YAHOO DOES NOT RECOGNIZE MY PASSWORD and if I attempt to change my password , which I do not want to do. it does not accept my answer to my prrivate question so I am in a loop I have e-mail, e-mail contacts that I can NO LONGER ACCESS PLEASE HELP ??????????????????

I have been having the very same problem for a few days now. There is no 800 number for free yahoo email. The customer service numbers are only for the paying customers of yahoo plus. But the above infomation of where to report a problem is correct. I myself have still not recieved any solution as of yet. I am told they take some time to get back to you when useing the feed back page. All i can say is sit tight and wait once you have sent the description of your problem etc... Good luck to you!

Try the Yahoo Helpless desk... they may be able to help, but it won't happen anytime soon. I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago when I downloaded the new Messenger. It kept changing my password and I'd change it back only to be logged out and the password changed again. I played Password volley for 2 days before finally finding a password that stuck. good luck
