What is the host/server name for Yahoo! Mail?

Why is someone else's name on my yahoo home page & e-mail return address?

  • I'm not sure if I stated that question correctly. I have a yahoo e-mail address & when I send out an e-mail, it shows it's from my son (he also has a yahoo address, but different from mine, of course). The e-mail name is correct (mine), but the address is his. It also says his name when I'm checking my e-mail. At the top of the page (or any yahoo account page, like this one I'm on now), it has, "Welcome, ____" with my name. Hope that makes sense! Does anyone know how to fix this? I sent a message to yahoo customer service, but I haven't heard anything from them.

    If he created it for you, he might have used his name to sign up. Just go to your email account and on the right hand side, there should be a link for OPTIONS. Click it and on the left hand side there will be a menu. At the bottom of the menu is a link for Account Information. You can change that kind of stuff there.
