How do I get my old 'My yahoo' back?

How do I get my old Yahoo mail back?

  • I'm not sure what happened, but I have a New Yahoo mail page and I hate it. How do I get my old yahoo mail back. Please help, I can't stand the new Yahoo Mail and I want my old Yahoo mail back !

  • Answer:

Do this to "STAY with" (or get back to) Classic (which is the ONLY older version you can stay with or get back to)----it's quicker and easier. This link (below) has been reported to be a permanent fix---and even stops future "prompts to upgrade" It's different than some of the other links, (that have been given), which are only temporary. Click this link: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/context/migrationv2.html When the page opens---scroll down about midway until you see this---"What if I don’t want to upgrade to the newest version of Yahoo! Mail"?----IF you do not want to upgrade, please "click here" to use Yahoo! Mail Classic. ("click here" is a blue link). Return to Classic is immediate

The new version is AWFUL! The only solution I know of is to use the following link to access the previous version/classic mail: http://us.mc1141.mail.yahoo.com/mc/welcome?ymv=0 You can save it to bookmarks / favorites and then select on it any time you want to go to your email.

I have heard that Yahoo will switch it for you if you contact them. There is live chat. It sometimes takes a few seconds for the chat icon to appear. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/forms_index.html This is a link to return to Classic Mail. The only problem is that you must continue to use it or you revert back to Regular. http://mrd.mail.yahoo.com/switchclassic Here is the help screen with that link. http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/context/migrationv2.html It has been discovered that turning off Javascript will allow you to return and the change is permanent. For IE go to tools ↬ internet options ↬ security. Click on the "custom level" button, go to the scripting section and disable active scripting. For Firefox go to tools ↬ options ↬ content. Uncheck "enable Javascript". For Safari go to settings ↬ preferences ↬ security. Uncheck "enable Javascript". When you go to Yahoo mail it will indicate that you must use Classic and will give a link. Once done you can return to the previous Javascript settings. ʎəɿʞɹɐq  ̊ ͜͡● ̊
