Where are my old yahoo pictures of me?

Having problem with extracting old pictures from yahoo mailbox...any idea?

• I have a lot of old e-mails in my old yahoo mailbox(that I haven't used for a long time) and most of them contain pictures and images all in .jpg (or .jpeg) format that I didn't have any problem before with opening them. Yet I can open the new pictures when I receive them in my new yahoo account but I tried to open the old pictures from the old account of yahoo but it only redirects me to the same page for downloading and there is no use of clicking on that Download button. It's interesting yet all of the texts and mails in my old mail box can be read but it only have a problem with opening the pictures and the sign of attached pictures have also CHANGED!! (i.e they had signs of pictures(.jpg) but now all have the sign of a sheet of paper( like a text attachment!), however, I was able to open and extract all of those pictures with a normal picture sign before.... What can I do now?

• Answer:

  Try to forward one of the old messages to some other email account that you have access to. You may be able to get a clue of what is going on by doing this, and you may be able to turn around and forward them back so they now show up as new emails on your Yahoo account.
