Why can I not access my yahoo mail?

Why can't I access Yahoo Mail from my mobile any more?

  • I've been accessing Yahoo Mail for a couple of years now from my cell phone's mobile browser. Sure it was slow, and I could only read a portion of each message per page, but it worked. For the last several weeks, I haven't even been able to log into Yahoo. I had bookmarked the login page, and I used to be able to just punch in my ID and password, and it would let me in. Now, when I go to that bookmark, it just struggles, and then gives me a "Page Not Found" error. I've gone to the Yahoo Front page, and they no longer have email Classic there, only email Beta, and I'm suspicious that Yahoo has deleted this portal. Anybody know? When I click on the Beta Version of Mail, it brings up the login dialog, but when I enter them, I get a "No Gateway Reply" error on my phone. I'm also not able to access my Fantasy Baseball team roster, but that's minor compared to not being able to access mail while mobile.

    yes, it happened to my old bookmark. I guess it's because they're upgrading to Beta. But once I type www.yahoo.com there's no problem. Sometimes I got "no gateway reply" too, but I kept trying and it paid off hehehe...

Has had the same issue and when I enter my password, the first letter is automatically a capital letter. I have not been able to change this inconvienice!

Same problem here. I guess it's the yahoo version that's not compatible with the cell anymore. You could also ask the phone company to fix the settings, it might work.
