Where can you get text alerts on Yahoo?

How do I stop the yahoo alerts to my cell phone? T-Mobile now charges for text messages. Y! wont let me cancel

  • Now that T-mobile charges for text message, I wanted to cancel the alerts for when I receive e-mails. Yahoo won't let me do this. Do I have to get a new phone number now?

    Sure you can cancel the alerts! I just did mine. Just go to your Yahoo Inbox, go to Options, go to Filters, then highlight what you want, and click "delete", and your alerts have been canceled. Voila!! You don't have to get a new phone #.

I had no problem cancelling my alerts. What are you experiencing when you try to turn off alerts? One thing you might try is to supply a different (false) mobile number on your profile.

ignore them or delete them that is all. Or just change your number...I dunno wut to tell you.

Wow! I am glad that I didn't do that. I have my alerts go to a email add. but there are so many of them and it's beta so I have to drag them and the filter to move them automatically to a folder won't work. But, hey! nothing compared to your problem.
