  • My yahoo address is automatically forwarding to an old email address that is not valid. this started yesterday. I did not set this up and i do not subscribe to the yahoo pay services. How can i get it to stop? I am losing tons of emails

Many people are having the same problem. Forwarding used to be free, but now you have to pay, so there's now no way to access the forwarding option in Yahoo mail with a standard account. Fortunately, there is a free trial of the Yahoo mail upgrade available. Under "options" find "upgrade." Take the free trial. (You'll have to enter a credit card, but don't worry you'll cancel before you are billed.) The free trial will unlock "pop mail and forwarding." Go there, hit the radio button for reading your mail on the web and clear the forwarding email address. This should fix it, but you may wish someone to send you a test email before you cancel the free trial. Once you are sure it works, go through the various windows under "My account" until you find "cancel service." Write something appropriately obscene in the "Comments" box (just kidding) and then confirm cancel. It looks to me like there is no special trick you have to perform to not be billed, since they don't bill you for the trial until after the end of the period. Good luck!
