How can i see my sent messages from 2009,i don't have them on option 'sent messages'?how to find them?

i had chat with a friend at 2009 and now i don't have some sent and received messages on facebook,some of them are on email,but some i can't find?also missing some sentences from a chat with that person during that period.i am not deleted anything.How can i see them?where to look?

Web sites don't have to keep everything forever. If they're not in your sent messages they're gone.
