What is going on with my Email?

What's going on with Yahoo email lately?

  • My dad cannot open ANY of his Chinese emails (his computer is ALL in Chinese, too). He can sign in ok. He can even send emails just fine. He has only Chinese friends, who send him only Chinese email messages & attachments. When he clicks on a message in his Inbox, it just sits there & doesn't seem to register that he has clicked on anything. But when I used his computer to check my Yahoo email as a test to see what's wrong, I can check my English emails just fine. Same computer, same Yahoo service, just different-language emails (I don't have a Chinese-enabled computer, so it's just easier to communicate in English with my friends). Then my dad opened a Gmail account & forwarded some of those Chinese email messages from Yahoo to Gmail, and he can now open his emails just fine. What's up with Yahoo lately? Has this happened to anybody here lately?

Yahoo mail depends on the most recent IE and plugins. In IE go to Tools and then Windows Updates. Since your computer is set up for Chinese those updates will come too.

Yahoo has a lot of problems recently. Try changing LAN settings. Contact your Service Provider to guide you on the settings.
