Mail storage limit 65501 messages in in box, what is wrong?

You probably do not have a habit of deleting your incoming messages, and now they are clogging the box. If I were you, I'd delete them all, possibly checking the more recent ones to see if you need to create a few files to save a few. Make a file for each contact if you want, or by categories that seem logical to you. All the people from a certain group, or ones you contacted because of politics, or whatever. Then when you get incoming mail again, don't let it pile up. If it's worth saving, put it in a folder. The in-box folder has a size limit you have demonstrated you can reach. You probably will never have enough messages worth saving to fill any folder.
