How can you restore my yahoo before problems appear?

Anyone been having the same probs as me with Yahoo toolbar, Yahoo Mail & Answers in both IE and Mozilla?

  • Everything freezes up when I try to log out of web pages and my Yahoo Mail. I keep getting error reports and http error codes. It is also exceptionally slow. I've contacted Yahoo and they have replied, given me a ticket number, and say they know about the problems - nothing has changed yet and I'm getting really annoyed now. I have an excellent firewall and antivirus. My computer is clean and I know I have no viruses, malware, etc because it is scanned every time I use the internet. The computer will not now restore to a previous time, which I guess means I have a registry problem - caused by Yahoo???. I've reinstalled WinXP OS I've uninstalled Yahoo Toolbar 8 and reinstalled Yahoo 7 - ensuring it's been totally uninstalled I've uninstalled IE8 and reinstalled IE7 " " " " " I've uninstalled and reinstalled Mozilla " " " " " I've booted up in Safe Mode. Can anyone tell me what's happening please? Are the problems cause by my browser or the toolbar as I've never experienced this before. I'm getting sick of the screen freezing. Is there a computer technician on Answers that can help please?

  • Answer:

You can get a Yahoo tech at help.yahoo.com or by using YMessenger and chatting with a tech. The problem is not your computer or browser. Yahoo is working on the site. Many users are reporting a wide variety of problems. This has happened twice a year when Yahoo does maintenance and upgrades. You can get a warning by hovering your cursor over ANSWERS at the left side of the main Yahoo home page. If it says "A problem occurred....", there will be problems that day. Click on FORUM at the left side of the Answers home page (under Related Links). Current problems are posted there and you can post your experience. A live Yahoo employee reads every post. It is mainly for Y!A problems so start your post with that problem but you can expand on the others. The community will help you. There used to be a YMail forum but it is gone.
