Yahoo Email serious problem?

  • Two days now I am getting 'connection timed out' (Firefox browser) and 'Server doesn't exist' Internet Explorer when attempting to access my email. From yahoo.com, I can see my unread emails in the new window to the right so I am successfully logging in. I get the error when I click on mail to actually go to my mail. This problem occurs with my other email also... an email I have had for over 10 years that I don't use due to too much spam. In troubleshooting, I created a new yahoo mail to see if it would work and lo and behold... no problem whatsoever logging into an empty email. So this is not MY computer... this has to be a YAHOO issue. It can't be some sort of yahoo punishment for having too many mails forwarded (someone suggested that) because, like I said, I can't get into my other old yahoo mail either while I can get into one that is empty. ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEA? This is an email I use for BUSINESS!! I won't after this. That is guaranteed.

    Yes, I am in a similar situation. I did think the same as yourself that SPAM may be a probem and that Yahoo as are other companies don't admit to anything. My problems happened about two/three days ago coincidently at the same time that my SPAM level increased.

I wasn't getting my daily horoscopes and complained to customer service. The emailed me the next day saying it was a problem with my refresh setting. They went in and fixed it from their end and now it works fine. Why don't you contact them and explain what is going on. If it IS a problem on their end, which it sounds like, you are going to have to get in touch with them anyhow. These people won't be able to help you, only the Yahoo techs.
