What do I do if my email account was compromised?

My email account has been compromised and need to chat with someone bout this unique situation?

• My Gmail account has been compromised, and just discovered that mail is being rerouted to YMAIL account (that apparently was setup by the person to hacked into my gmail account). I tried to get the fraudulent YMAIL account, but I do not have the password. What do I do. All my messages exist in the fraudulent YMAIL account and I either need access or need for someone to send them to another locations where I can get access.

  I realize this is deeply frustrating. Go to Gmail (and Ymail if available) support even if you have to create a new account. Not knowing specifics, and also because I'm not an IT specialist I don't have all the answers. My experience is limited. However I had one experience: my solution was to change my password and make my password more secure.
