How do i close an yahoo e-mail account?

How can I close my Yahoo e-mail account?I don't want to use anymore.?

    there is no way to close the account. i once asked the same thing and was told by yahoo that it will automatically be deleted after 6 month if you don't log on to the account . just open a new account where ever you want and abandon the yahoo account you don't want.

If you don't access it, it will close itself for non-participation! That's what happened to me.

Go to www. yahoo.com and put delete yahoo account. and it will come up.
