What happened to the notepad I had on my old "My Yahoo" page?

Yahoo Notepad page is not opening?

  • Once I click on Yahoo Notepad. All that I get is this: --XX-- on top left corner of a blank page. Have anyone had this problem, were you able to get your saved content back? Is this happens when yahoo down or something?

  • Answer:

***UPDATE 3*** I too see the data back as well as the folders this time. BACK THEM UP! ******************* ***UPDATE 2*** Yes, I wrote too soon. I too got everything (folders) back up, but it appears the contents are empty. Hoping they know this and are working on it. ****************** *** UPDATE*** It is back up, at least for me. So it looks like it was down for about 24 hrs. Hope this is working for others as well. Perhaps this is an important reminder for some of us (myself included) to back up our data! ;-) ******** Apparently this has happened before. This bodes well because it was resolved before. Check out this message from a Yahoo support person back in November in regards to a similar situation: Re: [Y-Mail] Re: That blank calendar page... Hi All, Sorry for the trouble. We had a small outage for some time due to this few user's would have seen blank calendar and/or notepad. This issue is resolved now. Please let us know if you are still not able to access either of these applications. Thanks, Ashish Y! Having the same problem. Did contact customer care. Said answer in 24 hours. This a disaster. My spouse can get into his. It is something with my account only. Please keep this thread going B Smith

I'm having the same problem. Doesn't matter if I use Mozilla/Firefox, MS Explorer, or Safari or a different computer.

I noted on a similar thread, I'm seeing folders as well but no contents. I'm hopeful that the good folks at Yahoo are working to restore the data, perhaps piecemeal. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20111206100706AA7SNcN UPDATE DEC. 9, 2011: Notes are back online!

Me too. A disaster for me. Spoke to someone in another state who said he'd heard about this. Yahoo mail has done a few erratic things in the past week . I'm getting this XX thing from three PCs and with two different wifi access points.
