How do you create multiple contacts with yahoo mail?

Why doesn't my Yahoo! Mail auto-complete recipient email addresses anymore?

  • When I used to create emails @ Yahoo! Mail, I could type in the first few letters of a person's name in the "To:" field and it would pop up a list of matching persons in my contacts. Now, not only does it not do that anymore, but it also asks me if I want to add the addresses of the people I sent emails to to my contacts after sending them an email (and they are already in my contacts). This has been going on for a few days now and I am about ready to give up on Yahoo! mail.

I'm having the same problem. I heard back from customer service that yahoo engineers are working on this. How long could this possibly take to fix??? Or do they want us to switch to the "new" yahoo email - if you use that one the auto feature works... I don't like this version and prefer classic yahoo. Very frustrating!

Nope that doesn't work. Have Windows XP and it does work on mine either now. Something with Yahoo. Did a system restore and it still doesn't work.

Nope, Roger tried your solution. Still does not work, but what is odd I have another Yahoo account, both are Classic & it has not been affected. GO figure!!!

There is a glitch at this time with the auto complete. Yahoo is aware of it and said they have their engineer looking into it. Many are having the same problem. They hope to have it fixed soon. Many are switching to the New Mail where it still works fine

Have been having the problem myself and also problems with the "keep me signed in " feature as well as the bookmarks. I am getting agitated. I think yahoo is having difficulty.
