Could someone answer a few questions regarding the US Open?

Can someone at Yahoo please answer the numerous questions regarding email not working?

  • My previous email account hasn't received mail since 9th Feb - I have lost many important mails that I know have been sent. I know I am not alone from reading up. Please issue an announcement to answer all these questions and let everyone know who relies on you!

  • Answer:

Sorry you are telling the wrong people. Believe me yahoo knows about the many problems. I am sure they have had several phone calls. But when you are told they can help by changing your server and charging you $29.99 people are really getting upset. Because the problem is with a server. Yahoo should have posted an annoucement the moment it happened and gave an approx. date when it would be fixed and kept everyone updated on the problem!!!!! My opinion!!!!!

I'm very surprised that they haven't done so already!

Servers go down every now and then, problems happen. But I am not sure what is worse - that Yahoo still hasn't solved what should be a fairly basic IT problem, or that it hasn't come out and admitted it's got a problem. This company doesnt know how to solve IT problems and its an IT company, and it doesnt know how to communicate and its a media company No wonder the Street hates it What a joke

Well, you have to say one thing about Yahoo...at least they're consistent. They never post that there are problems...ever. I'm sure email will be up and running eventually. FYI, I'm receiving emails just fine; have all weekend & just sent myself a test email from my work account which was received right away.

This is probably not the right forum. Try contacting Yahoo directly and ask them what the problem is and to post information so users can know what's going on. Yahoo! I'm with you. I think it is only good PR to at least notify the users that there are problems. I thought it was something I inadvertenly did until I e-mailed Yahoo personally. It would have saved me time and frustration if I had been alerted by Yahoo. My problem is that typing a nickname into the "TO:" box no longer works to automatically send your e-mail to the proper address. I am a very patient person, but have the courtesy to let us know what is happening with our e-mail, please! Thank you!

I'm with you! I am getting very upset because I had important e-mail that I was epecting. So, I created an online petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/foryahoo/petition.html Please sign it! Since Yahoo! won't listen to us or give us any update I figure the only way to do something is to try to contact them or the media with a lot of names of disenfranchised users. Please sign it!

I experienced this same problem with only one (of my many) Yahoo! email addresses over the weekend. I inquired to customer care and they replied stating: "A small fraction of Yahoo! Mail users (less than .3%) may have experienced some e-mail delivery issues over the weekend, but the problem has now been resolved. We believe this was an isolated incident. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused.”
