On yahoo answers how do you send a message to your contacts?

You cannot send messages until you enable Yahoo! Answers email communications.?

  • So i can't send a message to one of my contacts on yahoo answers :| I have enabled it i think :/ HELP THANKS

    You have IM enabled-----BUT NOT emailing---so if that's what you mean>> First of all you have to enable emailing on the Answers site---this way. At the top of any Answers page----mouse over "My Activity"----then click on "Edit my Preferences". Then click the "Privacy and Communication" tab. On that page, scroll down to---"Allow the answers community to contact me"---and click the box by "Via Email". Then scroll down to and click "submit". Now you can both Send and Receive emails from other Answers users-----(as long as they have also enabled it). Click on their avatar and then click on their email link (if they have one) IF you get any responses---they will come as a notice in your regular mail inbox.

yes, it's now enabled. If I click on your profile you can see IM and your user name .
