How to retrieve msn messages?

Why do i have 5 messages that i cannot retrieve. it shows 5 but it says there are no messages in my in box?

my email says 5 messages but i can not retrieve them

Try this: click on the mail icon at the top -> double click it and if it shows "0" messages unread on the mail home page, the number of new/unread messages will disappear. If however you still have a number displayed, go to your inbox, click "all messages" -> click on "unread messages". Sometimes new messages do not show up at the top, but way back on page 2 or 3...
