Why can't I send mail to yahoo accounts ?

  • Hello, I have a mail server that looks like it's prohibited to send mails to yahoo accounts. I'm receiving error message like this : 553 Mail not allowed from 82.77.20.89. We had a few months ago a spam problem but we took care of it, we are not listed any more on any RBL, but still, mails from our mail server can't reach yahoo accounts. Please check http://www.spamhaus.org/query/bl?ip=82.77.20.89 to confirm we are clean. This is a newspaper mail server. We need to be able to send mails to yahoo accounts. Please help us. Thanks.

  • Answer:

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. If you look you will find lots of people cannot send/receive/delete mail at the moment. I was advised to uninstall Javascript and then reinstall the latest version from http://www.java.com/. You could also try http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer for the latest Flash player. This worked for me. If it does not for you then apparently it's only in the all new version. Try returning to the Classic version for now. Good luck use this link to get back http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?script=no Oh great now the links don't work, you will have to search manually now.
