Yahoo mail is forwarding all messages to an alternative email account that I no longer use. Help!?
-
Yahoo mail started doing this some time this morning. I did NOT set forwarding. I did nothing intentional to start this. I cannot get it to change back, and every email to me is being bounced back from the alternative email (to which I no longer have access). I have tried deleting the alternative address from my account. No effect. It will not let me access the mail forwarding option (which I did not touch anyway). Any suggestions? And is anyone else finding this problem? Thanks in advance!

Answer:
3/29/07: screw waiting on tech support! I found a fix. Since Mail Plus has a 30 day free trial I went ahead and subscribed to be able to access the forwarding settings. It seems that those of us who used it back when it was free are the ones affected, hence why my hubby's email was fine. Instead of clicking on the forwarding under Options, look to the right and click to subscribe to Mail Plus. I subcribed, then simply turned it off under Options. Voila! Now I can unsubscribe. Pass this fix on!!!

I am having the same problem and cleaned out the cookies and it still will not work. Let me know if you get an answer from anyone.

I'm also having the same problem. Forwarding has just 'come alive' again for an old email address (which now bounces). When you click on the POP3 and Forwarding option to change the setting, I get a message about 'this service is not being sold at the moment' Extremely frustrating, hopefully it will be fixed shortly.

What do you mean by "will not let me access the mail forwarding option"? Log out, clean the cookies, log in again and do access it, and remove it. Nothing else can be done. It might be some system glitch.
