Different Fathers Day dates in different countries??

In Australia we have Mothers Day at the same time as the US, but we don't have Fathers Day until the first Sunday in September.....I wonder why??

Germany had Fathers Day on the first of May this year... It is just there because we also have Mothers Day... That's why I think there is not a single date...
