Awesome and creative birthday ideas?

I need some ideas for an awesome 18th birthday party! Please help!?

• My 18th birthday is in a few months. I want to start planning and saving for it now because I've never thrown a kick-a$s party before and I want a memorable 18th birthday for my friends and I. So I need some ideas to make it awesome. These are the ideas I've thought of so you can expand on them or just give me a different idea altogether. #1: Hotel suite for me and some friends to get drunk in. We could swim and hottub before drinking and just chill out. Thing is, I think it may be a little boring being confined in a hotel suite when we're drunk. #2: Party at home with as many friends as I want, would do a red carpet theme with drunken karaoke and loud music. Bad thing about that is that my family would be around plus there's a big pond in the back yard which isnt good when theres drinking involved. #3: Renting a cottage at wasage beach, could swim, tan, meet people on the beach and get drunk in our cottage. Except that may be pricey and the weather would have to be good. So throw me your ideas. Be creative. Think like a teenager for a minute and tell me what you'd think makes a good party. I'll choose a best answer if theres a great idea.

  I like idea #2, even though it is common. Remember, it's not your friends' birthday party you're throwing, it's yours. So what's important is that you please YOURSELF. Anyhow, the at-home themed birthday party is your best bet since it will be cheapest (you already have a venue). As for the pond in the back, I am sure that your friends are responsible enough (at 18yrs) to not drown in the pond. And the parents thing? As sucky as it may sound, have them there at the party. That way, you can put them in charge of things (like making sure all drinks are cold), going for ice if you run out, taking care of party-goers (including keeping them out of the pond) so you won't be responsible for taking care of anyone at your party, thus making it stress free for you.
