What are cheap and fun ideas for 18th birthday?

What are some ideas for a fun 18th birthday party?

• I'm turning 18 at the end of January and I wanted to have a party because I haven't had one since I was like 13. Anyway, I want to have a fun party and actually go somewhere/do something but the problem is I don't know how much I can afford. I was considering having an informal party and just get a bunch of friends together and go somewhere. Therefore, everyone would pay for themselves but it sounds kind of cheap and I would feel bad. But I don't know what to do...Any ideas/comments? One of the big things that gets me is deciding where to go or what to do because I live in Ohio and it snows in January. I thought about going to Kalahari (Indoor Waterpark) but it's pretty pricey. And I thought about going to the Toboggan Chutes in the Metroparks.

  If you're interested in a proper party, I went to an 18th that was 'politically incorrect' themed and was so fun! It requires a lot of imagination to come up with a good costume, but people seemed to manage. People came as Japanese whalers, pedophiles, nazis, druggies, etc. Or if you're after something more intimate, get a few of your closest friends, go out to a restaurant and have a few cocktails and then have a nice, good old fashioned sleep over :)
