When is UK Thanksgiving day?

Why on Yahoo Answers for UK and Ireland are Independence Day and Thanksgiving catagories but not Guy Fawkes?

  • I came specifically onto UK and Ireland to look for guy fawkes night questions and noticed that only American national holidays are listed as a catagories in "Holidays" (arguably apart from St Patricks day which is celebrated seemingly eveywhere).

  • Answer:

It might have something to do with Yahoo being an American affair.

It's not really UK Yahoo. You may click on something that says it is, but when you get here, you'll always find an American answering a UK related question with "This is US Yahoo, why are you asking that here?" And to be honest, I don't think Guy Fawkes night is really a holiday.

Guy Fawkes was an ******. at best a Catholic terrorist

suggest it to them, being an American organisation they may simply not know

It is quite simply because Guy Fawkes night isn't a national holiday.
