What should I do for my 18th birthday?

• I have a few friends (I can just count them on my fingers) and I'm not the one to throw a party or anything because my mom believes people will just f-up the house. >:( Ever since I turned a teenager and even a few years before then, my birthdays have been crap and depressing. My mom always chose to work on my birthday, birthday weekend, or just buy me a cake and a small gift, but hang out with her boyfriend (who I dislike A LOT). I moved so it was hard for me to make new friends...especially being in a highly religious Catholic school when I wasn't as religious as them when i was younger... My birthday is on a Monday in a little less than a month and I want to do something special for my 18th birthday, because i just want to feel SPECIAL for at least one day... but...I don't know what to do. I don't have a job, my mom is losing her job 3 days after my birthday, and....i just don't know. Is there anything I could do that could make my day special? I want to be able to remember turning 18 was fun for me...I want to have some kind of good memory to being an older teen... :'(

  Have a sleepover for you and your friends. It may sound a little childish but it won't cost much and you can make it more interesting my having it themed or something. You could ask everyone to come in fancy dress for something popular in the year you were born. Alternatively, you could cook a nice meal for you and your friends or if your budget covers it go to your favorite restaurant. Or you could have a spa day. Ask some of your mum's friends if they would mind doing some spa treatments on you and your friends to make you guys feel special (like manicures, face packs etc) then all get dressed up and go out for a meal. If you explain the situation to your friends they will probably offer to pay for they're own meals! I hope this helps. Have a great Birthday!!
