Is Boracay really in the Philippines?

    boracay is a great white sand beach to go to. hope u go there. if you would, you might want to stay at STATION 3. you see the beachfront area can be divided into sections-from left to right. we went there for our honeymoon. in our time then, station 3 was quite a good area to stay at, varied types of shops, restaurants, etc. also, it's near the center beachfront area of boracay island. if you really want to save money or your budget is quite small, don't lodge at the beachfront, enter the walkways, and go a bit further inside, and you'll see cheap lodging places there. hope this helps. helpmeets vote in our people survey/poll :) http://mwfrc.blogspot.com

I have been to the Philippines although not to Boracay. I went to Manilla and also spent a few days in Olongopo. I found the holiday amazing and a great cultural expeirence but I do advise caution when visiting the Philippines simpley because there is a lot of poverty in this country and people do get rather desperate. Sight see during the day when security is at its highest. The Philippines has amazing security during buisness hours with guards doing checks on everyone entering or exiting a mall. These guards are armed but very friendly and helpful so even if you just need directions they seem happy to help. But as for Boracay I would suggest visiting the site www.lonelyplanet.com as they have a lot of great information available to travellers. Be aware that the Philippines is not considered a tourist destination as of yet so travel agencies can only offer the most limited information. I loved the Philippines. I wish you the best of luck on your holiday. Mabuhay!!! (ooh and the most important thing is to remember that Filippinos have respect ingrained into their culture so when addressing people older then you, use sir or the filippiono word po.)

yes..they do suggest boracay.It has sea,sun...etc. But if you hate being around a LOT as IN A LOT of people dont go there.

I've been to the Philippines but not Boracay. Only manila. It was amazing. I loved it. The ppl are also nice. Very friendly :)
