What are sales similar to the after christmas sale?

Is it too Early for shops to be selling Christmas decorations in September?

  • I think Christmas decorations should not be on sale till just a few weeks before Christmas! When sales are on from Sept, the build up of the excitement of Christmas is gone by the time the real day comes. In the years gone by when the Christmas decors starts appearing in the shops a month before Christmas it is so exciting & special. Does anybody feel that way?

    I personally am fed up with the whole thing as it seems to go on for months. I can't imagine how difficult it must be for parents who have to explain to thier kids that santa will not be coming for ages yet!!

I completely agree it takes away the excitement and build up they should not be allowed into shops until November that's more than enough time it also annoys em when they put easter eggs out just after christmas just Money grabber's

I agree that it is too early to see Holiday decor in the shops now. I think that retailers should wait until Halloween is over to bring out the Christmas items. It just seems to drag on forever when you see tinsel in August!

Yes, decorations should only be sold in november and december, having them in the shops this early is ridiculous and completely dilutes the atmosphere.
