Where do the Easter Bunny's eggs come from?

  • Something came up this weekend I am looking for an answer to if you know it. My little cousin asked me where that silly character the Easter Bunny's eggs come from. She knew as well as I do that rabbits don’t lay eggs, and I didn’t have a lot of other choices so I just told her it was all a lie anyway and apologized to her on behalf of the entire grown up world. But does anyone know where the lie is supposed to go regarding that issue?

    It is thought that the hunt for eggs came first, with no association to the rabbit. Eggs were traditionally given out at the start of Spring in Egypt and Persia. the chicken and the Easter Bunny work together .. The chicken lays the eggs and gives some to the Easter Bunny for the holiday! :-)

When the Catholicism in its early years wanted to clebrate the commemoration of "Dead & Resurrection of Jesus", A pagan idiot, falsely coverted to Christianism, came up with the idea of inserting his beliefs on the golden egg (their good luck)to the Church. Hence, the celebration of Jesus with the pagan Eggs. Catholics mixed vinegar with water. Is it either Jesus or the Devil who they serve?
