What does the easter bunny have to do with Easter?

What morning do the kids wake up and find easter eggs (Australia) Ican't remember what night the bunny comes!

I've had a major shutdown. I've had 32 easters in my life so far, but for some reason this year I can't remember if the kids wake up on Easter Sunday morning or Easter monday morning and find eggs. My oldest daughter seems to believe they wake up Easter Monday (bunny comes Sunday night) to the eggs, but I'm sure it's Easter Sunday (bunny comes Sat. night). Someone please help me!

Traditionally, no matter the country, it is Easter Sunday. The bunny is supposed to come on Sat night and the kids wake up to Easter Eggs and baskets on Sunday.
