Who is celebrating easter? What is easter? When is easter celebrated? How is easter celebrated?

  • Answer:

easter is the day that jesus ressurected and people celebrate it to honor that. its the day that lint is over and most (religious) people go to church. the whole easter egg thing probably began because eggs symbolize life and whatnot and somewhere in the past it turned into a hunt for children to do. and easter is always celebrated on the 3rd sunday of april. the wednesday before is passover and the friday before is good friday.

Easter is celebrated not the 3rd Sunday in April, but according to the Catholic church (who started this whole Christian festival thing) on the first Sunday after the first full moon after 20th March. That's why there is so much variation. The correct way to celebrate Easter is to remember Christ's sacrifice on the cross and his resurrection and the hope which that gives us, and to remember all the blessings that God has given us. Eggs, bunnies, etc. were part of a pagan festival celebrated at a similar time to celebrate the new life and rebirth of the world in spring.

The only people that should celebrate EASTER are CHRISTIANS. The way to be a Christian is to take the Lord as your Savior and thru him you will have everlating life. Many people claim to be christians just because they go to church. WRONG. The Lord rose from his tomb on the 2nd day or his death HIS RESURECTION know as EASTER. Believe and you to shell rise again.

easter celebrates the death and the re rising of jesus... and its this weekend, he died on the friday and rose again on the sunday... ps.... we all get chocolate easter eggs!!

Easter is the celebration of the pagan fertility god Eostre. The eggs and the easter bunny are symbols of that. Christians later hijacked it and made it something to do with the resurrection of Jesus but if that was true it would be on a fixed date. They did the same thing with the winter solstice yule celebrations. As well as hijacking the festivals of older religion Christians murdered many in the name of their ludicrous "faith".

People celebrate Easter because it is the day that Jesus came back to life. We celebrate it in April

Christians does.either catholics or Orthodoxes .it represents the Crucifixion of Christ and His rising from The dead 3 days after.it's celebrated on 16th of April by the catholics and on 23rd of April by the orthodoxes .by the way , today is the Green Thursday for the catholics.how is celebrated ?i can tell you how i celebrated , I'm an orthodox : in the night of the rising , which is the 22/23 April night , we go to church and take light , which means we light a little candle . then in the Easter morning we wash our face with water and a red-painted egg ( which is a tradition : paint eggs in red colour , symbolizes the blood of Christ ), and eat red eggs , lamb steaks , "cozonac ", which is a bread shaped cake with nuts , and , as a tradition , we take an egg in our hands and smash them by one another saying "Christ had come to life !" and the other person answers " it's true He had come to life !".so , to all the christians outthere : Happy Easter !

Ordinarily it is meant to be celebrated by those who believe in Jesus Christ and His teachings (Christians). But everybody is celebrating Easter in one way or the other these days because of associations or relationships with friends. Easter is the day set aside for yearly commemoration and celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Easter is celebrated after a 40 days fast period known as Lent in Christian Faith (To mark the 40 days and 40 nights Jesus spent in the wilderness). It falls within the months of March and April according to the Catholic Church year calendar. This year's Easter falls on the 16th of April. Easter is celebrated in different ways according to individual understanding of Easter. Actually it is meant to be highly celebrated with big feasts because it marks the end of fasting period and celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus, which is the base of Christian Faith.

Easter is a time when Christians around the world celebrate the Son of Almighty God - the Messiah, Jesus Christ who came down from Heaven to save all of mankind from their sins. Jesus was crucified and died on a cross, but on the third day, He was resurrected and defeated death. All who believe in Jesus as Lord, will also be resurrected after death, when Jesus returns to the Earth, any day now. All believers will not go to the evil one in hell, but will be in Heaven with Almighty God. Jesus is the ONLY way to get to Heaven. Easter is celebrated between March and April. It is celebrated firstly on Friday, in church as the day He died and then again on Sunday in church as the day of His resurrection, when many people actually saw and spoke with Him. The church service is then followed by lunch and dinner with friends and family. A piece of unleavened bread and some dark grape juice is consumed during church. The bread represents Jesus' body and the juice, His blood. It is also a carry on of the passover which took place in Egypt, by the Israelites over 4000 years ago.
