Easter is celebrated not the 3rd Sunday in April, but according to the Catholic church (who started this whole Christian festival thing) on the first Sunday after the first full moon after 20th March. That's why there is so much variation. The correct way to celebrate Easter is to remember Christ's sacrifice on the cross and his resurrection and the hope which that gives us, and to remember all the blessings that God has given us. Eggs, bunnies, etc. were part of a pagan festival celebrated at a similar time to celebrate the new life and rebirth of the world in spring.

The only people that should celebrate EASTER are CHRISTIANS. The way to be a Christian is to take the Lord as your Savior and thru him you will have everlating life. Many people claim to be christians just because they go to church. WRONG. The Lord rose from his tomb on the 2nd day or his death HIS RESURECTION know as EASTER. Believe and you to shell rise again.

Christians does.either catholics or Orthodoxes .it represents the Crucifixion of Christ and His rising from The dead 3 days after.it's celebrated on 16th of April by the catholics and on 23rd of April by the orthodoxes .by the way , today is the Green Thursday for the catholics.how is celebrated ?i can tell you how i celebrated , I'm an orthodox : in the night of the rising , which is the 22/23 April night , we go to church and take light , which means we light a little candle . then in the Easter morning we wash our face with water and a red-painted egg ( which is a tradition : paint eggs in red colour , symbolizes the blood of Christ ), and eat red eggs , lamb steaks , "cozonac ", which is a bread shaped cake with nuts , and , as a tradition , we take an egg in our hands and smash them by one another saying "Christ had come to life !" and the other person answers " it's true He had come to life !".so , to all the christians outthere : Happy Easter !

The church service is then followed by lunch and dinner with friends and family. A piece of unleavened bread and some dark grape juice is consumed during church. The bread represents Jesus' body and the juice, His blood. It is also a carry on of the passover which took place in Egypt, by the Israelites over 4000 years ago.
