  • Answer:

I hate to break it to you, but NZ is not the fairytale place to live that you may have been led to believe. That said, it is pretty good. Pros: - Good schooling system but NCEA is not internationally recognised. - Food, absolutely fantastic! We don't have any of those 'cheese in a can' processed rubbish that you have in the US. - Wages, for a good engineer $150,000 NZD a year. - People, we're fairly laid back =D I guess that what I'm saying, is don't come to NZ with a false idea of what its like. =)

Now I've never been to New Zealand but it is definitely not better than AMERICA. THIS IS AMERICA. Everyone who doesnt live in America hates America, everyone who hates America that lives in America is just a douche BUT once you find a job you will love America, make new friends, get a nice place and overall be content. DONT GIVE UP ON AMERICA!

Two of the other answers make me so happy I live in Canada... I love where I live but seeing the world is so important. Anyone who thinks staying in the same Country and never leaving and exploring is just pathetic. I say, if you wanna get out, then go for it! I have never been to NZ but everyone I know that has loved it. If you don't like it where you live, get out and see the world. Let the closed minded red necks run their little sh*t towns and never leave their beloved America. Not to hate on America (a lot of it is beautiful), but there is so much out there. That's why I plan to go to Australia in the fall :)

Australia has lots of deadly snakes, so if you don't mind that, it might be a good place to move. I like Kiwis, so I would probably choose New Zealand. I'm not speaking from experience or anything either. I've never left the country other than a vacation to Canada.
