How do I apply for a visa to Australia?

I don't know if people from New Zealand have to apply for visa when they travel to Australia or not, but since I'm not a New Zealander (but I do have a student visa), I'm not quite sure what I have to do to be able to travel to Australia. If I do need a visa, how do I apply?

NZ citizens do not need a visa to come to Australia - everyone else does. A NZ student visa means as much as having a Walmart Card (ie. is worthless). You will need to apply for a tourist visia to the Australian consulate/embassy in NZ.

It depends what nationality you are. Most accurate information you can get is on DIAC website, www. immi.gov.au; when you open this website, there is a visa wizard on the home page, click on that, fill in the details, answer some questions and it will tell you what you need and what not.

Im not totally correct but if your a student in NZ you can just go straight into AUS as they are sister countries and your allowed to use your NZ student visa for australia.
