I want to find a host Family to live with for a shool year in australia any ideas on how to find someone?

I filled out an application for foreign exchange but its past the deadline to be able to go this coming school year so i just want to find a family to live with and pay for myself to fly there and back and my own extra living expenses

Your best bet is to go through an exchange program. There are some programs that do mid year entry anyway so if you want to come this year get going to find those. I'll provide a link for one I used to volunteer for as a co-ordinator and host parent. http://www.ef.com/

Be careful!!!! Try calling any of the Foreign Exchange Student Agencies in your Area. If Nothing Else, Contact the U.S. Embassy in the Area that you wish to go. This type of thing can be very dangerous for you if you do not Take the Proper Precautions. You never know what will be " Waiting for you" when you get there otherwise. USE CAUTION.
