Working holiday visa for Canada?

Working Holiday Visa From Canada... ?

  • So I just posted a question about working in another country and someone gave me the idea of a Working Holiday Visa.. I'm from Canada and let's say I get one, and head over to New Zealand. My concern about that is, am I pretty well garunteed work? What's the money like for someone coming from Canada down to New Zealand? Will I be making money?( Will I be able to come back to Canada with more money in the bank? Or will it cost me as much money as I make to live?)

  • Answer:

While no one is guaranteed a job, you will probably be able to find something. Take a look at jobs on www.trademe.co.nz or www.indeed.com, or www.seek.co.nz and see what's out there. It will depend on where you want to live, as well, as far as jobs available. If you live pretty simply, you'll do okay, but I don't think you will go home with much money. Living situations- hostels or sometimes you can flat (rent a room in a house with other people) and have some space while living pretty cheaply. Check the New Zealand Department of Immigration website for the specifics on the WHV and Canada
