What is the best city of Australia for living?

Which city is the best for living in Australia?

  • we are migrating from Iran.

  • Answer:

You will be happy with any city in Australia - the country rocks!! If you like warm, tropical weather, with a very beachy life-style then head to Brisbane or the Gold Coast. The Gold Coast is packed with tourists though but definitely an awesome place to visit. Sydney is nice but it's packed, with an approximate population of 6 million. It's a very jam packed, fast paced city. Quite expensive to live. Always lots happening in Sydney though and you'd never be bored. Melbourne is also an expensive city and jam packed and fast paced. The weather there can be all over the place - bright and sunny one minute, cloudy and wet the next. Always lots happening in Melbourne too. Adelaide is much smaller than Melbourne and Sydney, approximately 1 million people, which makes the city very relaxed and laid-back. You don't have to battle the crowds on a daily basis. Similar weather to Melbourne. Adelaide also has some great beaches and lots of wineries. Perth is expensive but very warm and sunny and lots of beaches. Whatever city you choose - I'm sure you'll be happy :)

If you are coming from Iran, I would say that any of them would make you happy. I live in Tasmania [island state] where it is fairly cool, compared to the mainland, but is very friendly and laid back with very fresh and varied foods and a wonderful place to bring up a family. I think it depends on what you are looking for or expecting. If you want night life, by all means go to Sydney or Melbourne or any city in Queensland. One would assume, if you are coming from Iran, that you are muslim and therefore not particularly interested in that sort of thing. It also depends on what you do for a living as to where is the best place to settle down. Some cities have more need for different skilled people than others. You really should give us more information so we can help you.

Brisbane. Close to the Gold and Sunshine Coats. Not too large (population 1 million) and overwhelming such as Melbourne and Sydney. Not isolated like Perth. Good climate and doesn't get too cold in winter. Also cheaper than Sydney and Melbourne in terms of housing and other expenses.
