How can someone volunteer to help in Australia if needed and also make arrangements to get there ?

I'd like to volunteer in Australia and get the best travel info possible from people who actually live there. If workers or volunteer people or medical clinical people are needed, I would gladly come and help. Does anyone know which organization you could volunteer with to help the people in Australia right now ? My Heart Goes Out To Those In Need, I Am Praying For You All, God Bless and Thank You to anyone who can lead me in the right direction for volunteering. I looked at a few places but didn't see anything on how to join the volunteer efforts. LOL to all Down Under. I love your country.

To be perfectly honest the volunteer aspect will be over in a week. Then it will be the professional road builders, snake catches, builders that will be PAID to complete the restoration work. There is no way you would get a visa to come over in time for anything except a tourist visa (Which you could do no paid work). The Australian government and the people of Qld have organised themselves very quickly. There has no need for them to look at getting help from other states let alone from overseas.
