Australian citizen require a visa to enter Indonesia (and therefore visiting Bali). But don't worry, you will be getting the visa on arrival at the airport. It will cost you US$25 for a stay of up to 30 days. In order to be granted the visa your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Indonesia, and you must have proof of onward passage (either return or through tickets). If you cannot fulfill both of these requirements, you may not be allowed to enter the country. Getting the visa will take you just few minutes: 1) Pay and get the visa at one of the 6 payment counters and the airport (here you will also find a bank and a money changer) 2) proceed to Immigration where your visa will be processed I hope this information will be useful! Enjoy your holiday Bali is amazing!

What they said about the $25 US cost, the 6 months on your visa, the return or onward ticket. When your flight arrives before you can pass through to outside you will have to buy your visa (it's called "Visa on Arrival"). Fairly simple - follow the signs and everyone else to the counter and pay for your visa. On the way back out of Bali (to Australia I assume) you will also have to pay a departure tax - it is 150,000 IDR. About $16 AU and must be paid in Indonesian Rupiah. The VOA can be paid in a multitude of denominations i.e. Aussie is fine, US is fine, IDR is fine..
