How do I get a job as a vineyard worker in France?

Hi, Boys & Girls...I really need some help and advice about New Zealand and Australia...?

  • Hello everyone, my name is Victorya, I'm from Holland (Netherland), and I'm facing this doubt (matter/problem): Last year, my boyfriend (now fiance) went to Canada (Quebec-Montreal) for 3 weeks to visit some friends. However, on his last week in Montreal, while he was cheering his lasts days the Police caugth him and his friends smoking pot/weed/joint/grass/mary jane/marijuana/ganja. Then, he was fingerprinted and charged in with something (which he doesn't have any idea). Anyway, after his bail (where he paid some amount of money to get his freedom back), he got the airplane and came back to Holland. He said he doesnt want to go back to Canada never more! But, what happens is, one year later, I got a really nice job in New Zealand..with the possibility of going to live in Australia as well. I am about to get married and I can't go to Kiwi or OZ land without him. No way! He is a lovelly man...hard worker...honest...friendly...nice...easy going...and like pot (like many people...Obama, Bush, Bob Marley, Einstein, me, my friends, some friends of yours...and etc. Now, he is very afraid of the NZ and Aus authorithies find out he had (and still has - charges are pending) this problem in Canada. We travel without any problem around Europa (France, Italy, Spain and Germany)...but I also don't know if going there (New Zealand/Australia) might bring us problem because we are about to deal with immigration authorities. We won't tell the immigration about his problem in Canada...even because he got a new Passport and we are from Holland and not North America. What's our chance? Will we be fine? Any advice, help, and suggest is very welcome! Does anyone here have face similar problem? Thank you all very much...in advance! And God Bless Bob Marley!

He will be asked if he has criminal convictions and if he says no and they find out then he will be turned back at nz or Aus airport as the lieing can be as bad or worse than the conviction as then he is not trusted to be here. You can say no and hope they dont find out but probably best to apply for a visa before you come to make sure he is allowed if he wants to stay longer than being here for 3 months visitor then he would need to apply for a visa anyway. Weed is definitly NOT legal in Australia or New Zealand

Being from Holland, marijuana isn't a bad thing to you. It's not a bad thing to me either, which is why I also smoke it. But the difference is you can do it in your country legally, although I can't because it's illegal to have it or grow it or use it in Australia. It's against the law. The fact is, so many people in Australia use it that it's very hard for police to stop it. That's why police don't take it very seriously here. But because it's illegal, if the authorities here find out that your boyfriend is in trouble with Canada for having weed, they will likely send him home. And if you both come to Australia, then Australia finds out, they pull him away from you and let you stay but he must go. And you don't want that. So unfortunately, I'd say not to risk it. It could end pretty ugly for you. Sorry!

Unless you want to risk deportation from either Australia or New Zealand you have to answer all questions truthfully. If that means that your fiance cannot go with you, then you have to make other decisions. Both Oz & NZ immigration take themselves very seriously and any discrepancies are thoroughly investigated and dealt with. Do not risk it. Don't bother trying tobring weedwith you either, the sniffer dogs and sensors will find it.

Ahh don't sweat it. As long as he tells them about his conviction he'll be all sweet. My brother has been in and out of jail he went to n.z thinking he couldn't get back into aus but he got back in haha. My bro has a lot of convictions too. So your good.

first of all mate its going to be really tough getting past aussie security us aussies are bloody top knotch when it comes to security but you shouldnt really have a problem coming here cause weed is legal here in oz soo i believe that it should be fine i never had a problem like this cause im a wildlife rescuer here in oz but you should be fine as long as you be careful around aussie police and dont get in trouble cause if you do you will be deported back to holland ad you wont b able to come to oz again so have fun be safe and welcome to australia mate HOOROO

I think you should not worry too much..Just tell him to admit that he has a criminal convictions before..If it is just smoking weed then i think it will be just fine at Australia..Because i've heard that weed is legal there..

Canada is a Commonwealth country, as are NZ & Australia, so they all share data. And drugs are illegal in all three. So no, your bloke won't be allowed in, and will probably be turned away at the border. No point travelling anywhere if you are just going to get off your face anyway.
