Will more people change to LPG now with continual petrol price increases?

    They may well do. But gas prices keep going up as well. If you don't do much driving, it nearly not worth the investment converting to gas. You will need to service you car more often as well. Also, in some cases the installation of the gas tank in the cars boot may take up considerable space. In 4WD vehicles where the tank is fitted under the floor, some loss of ground clearance may be experienced. LPG is also not as widely available as petrol. An appreciable reduction in overall engine wear is normal when using LPG. This is particularly applicable during cold starting, because LPG does not wash lubricating oil from cylinder walls. I don't know. Friends of mine had both their vehicles converted to gas, last year. They now use just petrol only & reckon that it was a complete waste of time, & money.

Some persons I know keeping cars fitted with both petrol and gas tanks.

Federal Labor is actually looking at introducing a new tax on LPG and ethanol so in the future it won't make much difference. However while it is cheaper more people will probably convert to LPG especially when oil becomes very expensive again.

Gas is rising , takes a long time to recoup the cost of conversion , also your car wears out faster really not a fan personal choice
