Where's best place to go in Western Australia?

I want to relax in Australia for a week after I complete Ironman NZ. Wheres the best place to go?

• I want to take my wife away for a relaxing week in Australia after I complete th NZ ironman. Don't want to do much, except maybe my wife will want to shop. Where's the best place value for money wise to go lay by a pool and do not much.

  the Gold Coast and Sunshine coast in Queensland have great shopping, there is a great factory outlet on the Gold Coast (I have forgotten the name, someone may know it) its a large shopping complex and while your wife can spend the whole day there, you can relax by the pool or on one of the beaches. The Sunshine coast is also great along the esplande from Maloolabar to Maroochydore the shops are full of beautiful designer fashions and a few nice galleries. Maroochydore also has a huge shopping centre (The Sunshine Plaza) There are really good accommodation places very close to both the shopping areas and the beaches. All the good accommodation places have pools and other relaxing pursuits. I always find that queensland prices, shopping wise are the cheapest and if you are into secondhand QLD have the best op. shops. If you want to head south, Melbourne also has great shopping with many factory outlets and good places to stay. where ever you go, have a restful break and good luck in the Ironman comp.
