    As all australian capitals are on the coast, seafood is likely cheaper than you are accustomed to in any of them. That being said, the lowest cost of living would be in Adelaide and Hobart. I must note that jennifer h is wrong in terms of job opportunities in Tasmania - that state is undergoing a huge "brain drain" where younger members of the community have gone interstate, for "big city living". There is a massive shortage of qualified workers, especially in all forms associated with construction - electricians etc, as the state has gone through a housing boom, people are buying houses faster than they can be put up - people are buying houses just based on building plans and advertising!

I don't know anywhere in Austraia where sea food is cheap. The cheapest of fish often comes from Vietnam and is not as tasty as our fresh Australian fish. Often in some of the smaller coastal town you can buy fish from some of the local fisherman . I've found a lot of good fresh sea food in Western Australia. Most of the larger cities the cost of living is very similar possibly Adelaide or tasmania would be the cheapest places to live but then the wages might not be as good, depending on your job of course.

Generally the cities with a larger number of rivers, beaches etc. because they have more fish.

Adelaide and Hobart are considerably cheaper than Australia's other capital cities. Tamania (Hobart) is well known for its delicious seafood particularly trout, South Australia (Adelaide) is where much of Australia's aquaculture industry is found. It is also the home of the King George whiting and Springs smoked salmon. There is plenty of work available in both cities.
