Jobs at 14? AUSTRALIA?

Jobs for a 14 year old in Australia?

  • I am 14 turning 15 in two months. Right now, I really need/want a job NOT at McDonalds, KFC and places like that. I am thinking Boost Juice, Max Brenner (yes they allow 14 year olds) but I want some more ideas. Thanks.

Why not consider picking up dog droppings as a part of your own business? You can earn upwards of $20 an hour, and all you need are a few tools a bicycle, and perhaps a bicycle trailer. This article talks about it and how a woman in Colorado quit her management job to do it. http://squidoo.com/TeenJobsInABadEconomy ♂♀

Make yourself a small resume - just with your name, address, email, mobile phone number and your best skills. Your best skills could be - People skills - I smile constantly and really enjoy being with others Then go around your community and give your sheet to employers, offices etc. You may be able to do photocopying for a large company. Otherwise ask your family. Babysitting, cleaning, cooking, working on a farm. But of course apply to all the companies which you have listed. You said not at McDonalds, however stop to think that the training they give you could be worth doing something you don't really like.

O.M.G, I thought you had yo be 16, under the Australian Industrial Relations. If it's as you say, just submit your resume'. I am sure there would be other placed that accept under age employees, you just have to find them.
