What is the best way to get sponsored work in oz with no major skills?

  • I am looking to get sponsored work in Australia but do not have any major qualifications or a trade. Is there any way of me finding sponsored work? Any answers appreciated. Thanks.

    The simple answer is that you CAN'T be sponsored if you don't have skills that are needed in Australia. I doubt that what you want is possible. If you do not have someone here to support you financially, you will need enough funds to support yourself for the period of your visa. Contact the Australian Embassy and get definite information.

Sponsored work is for thos people with obscure to specialised professions - like university lecturer, or CEO. Its not for someone who is unskilled like yourself.

Contrary to what many people think, there are ways for people to get sponsored work in Australia, on a 457 Visa, without having an occupation on the approved occupation list. You do need to do more research, but I am aware of many non "specific skilled" workers who have found employers that have sponsored them under 457 visas.

ok mate are you serious? then if yes, get googling. Many remote employers cannot find workers in all sorts of areas and industries. Not long ago some farmer in North Qld got a boatload of Samoans to come here to work for him as no locals would. So many Filipino unskilled workers arrive also to do manual labour where no one else wants the job. Google up North Queensland or Northern Territory unskilled vacancies. I give you 5 to 10 there are plenty.And--go for it,anyone tells you that you must be skilled to come here they are deluded. Unskilled workers are arriving daily as plenty of jobs an Aussie boss cannot fill locally are able to be given to foreign workers and it happens every bloody day mate.
