Anyone know the average salary of a medical transcriptionist in New Zealand?
-
Or is there another term for a medical transcriptionist there? I plan on moving to New Zealand sometime in the next few years if I can and I just started working as a medical transcriptionist here in the usa.

Answer:
Current earnings within NZ vary according to whether the transcriptionist works within the NZ health system or on offshore work. An informal survey conducted in 2006 confirms that rates between $18 and $22 per hour are currently being achieved in NZ (remember it is a wee bit out of date - so may be more than shown, plus you don't plan to come here for a few years and wages will go up more) ** Note there is a New Zealand section - Travel > New Zealand, you posted this under Australia. NZ and Australia are two seperate countries.
