Where is a good place to live in Australia?

• I currently live in Sydney, Australia And when I move out I don't want to live too far away from home. I like the beach and even though it's far away I was considering moving to the Gold Coast or Port Maquarie or something. Or maybe living close to Bondi or Bronte beach? What's a place which is close to the beach but not too expensive and not TOO far away from family? And preferably lives close to stores, shopping centres and entertainment? And a place with friendly people? Thank You

  Everything you say points to the Gold Coast. Not Surfers itself but possibly Mermaid Beach or Nobby's Beach or round that area. Maybe further from Sydney to what you had in mind but travel is cheap and fast these days. All the best with the decision - a nice one to have to make !
