Where can I get a job fruit picking near Canberra, Australia?

  • I'm 15 and looking for work over the summer holidays, I would like the ability to work ALOT, almost everyday and a friend recommended fruit picking, if anybody could point me in the direction of a fruit company hiring near Canberra that would be great! (or any other work)

G'day Pete, Thank you for your question. The Riverina would be your best bet. The closest fruit puicking job I could find was at Tumbarumba but they also need people in February and March. http://www.pickingjobs.com/search.php Regards

G'day Pete, It can be hard finding fruit picking jobs in Australia as some farmers prefer to meet you prior to offering you the job. To be best prepared you should do some reading on Fruit Picking work and check the available jobs online. I've used http://www.fruit-picking.com/jobs in the past, the site is full of harvest work opportunities as well useful guides and information to ensure you are ready to get the best job possible. Also check http://www.fruitpickingjobs.com.au they're a new site with useful information and vacancies. Best of Luck, I'm sure you'll find work Cheers

Goodtimes

The major fruit crops in that area would be grapes & that harvest won't start till Feb-March I think.
