Is a people to people trip to Australia for three weeks really worth the money?

• I recently received a letter in the mail about the people to people three week trip to Australia and i was wondering is it really worth all that money. I also wanted to know how much money could i fund raise in 9 months and what could i do to fund raise. Also i was very curious as to where i could possibly get a sponsorship for this trip. If you think this trip is a waste of money or if the people to people company is a scam could you suggest other travel abroad programs such as this because it has been a dream of mine to travel the world.

  I also recently received a invitation in the mail for this people to people program except I was asked to go to different countries in Europe. So I researched the people to people program and there were few good reports and many bad reports on it. I found out that many people lost a lot of money going on this trip and the medical attention on the trip is not good if you have medical needs. People who needed medical attention on the trip came back in very bad shape and someone even died going on this trip! (Tyler Hill you can look him up.) The chaperons don't seem to be very good either. Also, for the amount you could go on this trip you could take your family on a vacation! The kids who can afford to go on this trip are snobby, rich brats who you wouldn't want to hang out with. Oh, and don't decide to withdraw once you are already in the program because people have lost a lot of money doing that too. Don't even consider the people to people program unless you are over the age of 15, don't have any medical issues (even allergies because they give you a special menu there that they won't change for you), can take care of yourself on your own, have a lot of money and don't mind if you loose it, don't mind hanging out with snobs, and don't get homesick. I also want to travel the world but so far I haven't found an appropriate program that seems good. So I think I will just wait until college where I can go on a study abroad program. Good Luck! PS.
