Are delays with mail sometimes normal? (USPS?

Usps Auspost mail delay?

  • My parcel processed at jamaica NY 11430 on 2.12.2011 going to VIC 3149 Australia stil had not reached the destination.its been 3weeks from the date of postage.it is going by first class international mail.i checked at Australian customs they are not holding it. when can I expect to recieve this. is there a chance of it being stolen in the process since Auspost say its not trackable Is any one having Usps Auspost mail delays due to Xmas.cz Auspost tweeter said they dont have a mail rush. Please HELP. Thank you.

    Maybe it was sent surface mail,not air mail? If so it will take a couple of months probably.On the other hand it may just be the busy time of year to blame.I would contact the sender & ask if it was sent air mail.

It's a mystery to me as well, I buy things from the US and UK on Ebay, sometimes it takes a couple of weeks to get here other times it is a good five weeks. I suppose the Christmas rush doesn't help but I personally think it must mean one of the camels has gone lame :P

Is it left US? May be it still is somewhere there. Xmas is not the best time for sending important mail.
