What's it like in Australia?

Whats your view on australia? like dont like?

  • i personally don't like australia its to bloody hot annd u cant get good games or PC part prices.

  • Answer:

So move, you know where the door is. I used to live in England and love Australia, now the only reason I'd ever return to the UK is to visit friends and family. Edit: Steph, Russell (note how I call him by his first name, lol) has a ranch thingy here just outside Coffs Harbour - Nana Glen to be exact - and he sponsors the local footy team, the Orara Valley Axemen (be afraid, Sydney RL - not!) How much time he spends here, however, I can't tell you. The people in the local cafe claim he comes in and throws his mobile at them all the time :)

i live in australia, and i like it. it's fairly clean, friendly people, nice hangouts and beaches, and overall just a relaxed environment.

Why are you judging a country based on how expensive computer games are? It's not hot, move to Tasmania.

I LOVE Australia. How it is too hot, in North Queensland maybe and you can get good games, but it's not something I would judge a country on. But you must be like 12, coz you sound like a kid. I really don't care if people don't like Australia, means they won't move here. Keep the secret of Australia between the Australians.

Oy! Russell Crowe is from New Zealand! Speaking as an Australian who has travelled overseas a bit, Australian culture is a bit like a blend of about 30% American and 70% British; but with an increasing Asian element (especially in some places). I like the less expensive suburban and country town restaurants; which are about the same price as American, but higher quality (not talking about the top end expensive restaurant). Australians (especially of British/European extraction) can be somewhat brash; even uncouth; but at the same time 'matey' and friendly. Generally in Australia; you're pretty safe, as long as you keep out of a few seedy places in the big cities. The scariest city I've been in at night was Washington DC. Australia is BIG (almost exactly the same size as continental USA; but a tenth of the population). Therefore, the inland areas can be very empty; hot dry and often flat. It takes a bit to get to love the 'outback'. In that regard, Australia is a bit like Canada; with the population concentrated around the edges. It has 2 big cities of 4 million people (Sydney and Melbourne) which dominate popular culture. Of course, Sydney and coastal NSW, as well as the southern bit of Queensland have the beaches. All generalisations, of course; but I've never met anyone (except whingeing Poms (Aussie joke) who hated the place).

Australia is the best country in the world.. Yes im biased and narrow minded... and its funny how when people describe australia they say Nicole Kidman and Russel Crowe... i dont even think that live here any more! In Aus it is really good in the summer with beaches surfing, windsurfing and what not. It is a general good place to hang out and everyone is friendly

steph0_11

i like nicole kidman and gladiator russel crowe, of course

Every Australian I've ever met has been so nice...and happy. Unlike many Americans who ***** and moan and are rude. I love Australians! And I love the wildlife.
